Tiles being used outdoors must be very durable so as withstand external conditions, so you’ll need to check that is has a high rating for hardness and regarding porosity, it needs to have a low absorbency date. Terracotta, slate, porcelain and some natural stone tiles are good examples. Generally glossy tiles aren’t used outdoors as they will be very slippery when wet.
